ACE OF WANDS - The Ace of Wands signifies the beginning of a new venture or a new life. It is representative of new experiences, fresh ideas, new beginnings, optimism, inventiveness, enthusiasm and drive. You may be experiencing a period of increased creativity or a feeling of being driven. You may be starting a new business or career. This could be the start of something big!!! In its reversed position, the Ace of Wands would signify delays and difficulties, or trouble getting a new enterprise off the ground. You may be feeling powerless or impotent. Possibly you are pessimistic and are not even trying. Your own behavior may be the source of the problem. You need to follow through with your promises and spend some time brainstorming for new ideas. You need to be open to solutions to your problems.

TWO OF WANDS -- The Two of Wands usually signifies that you are off to a good start. There may not be that much actively happening right now, and you may have some waiting in store. Maybe you are confused about where to go. You need to infuse yourself with energy and assertiveness to get your enterprise off of the ground. Things are promising, but there is much hard work to be done. You will achieve success so long as you do not give up. In the reversed position, the Two of Wands indicates that you are losing interest or having misgivings about an enterprise. Things may not be going your way, or you may be feeling overwhelmed or disillusioned. You may be having disagreements with partners or with negotiations. The Two of Wands can be a warning to consider matters carefully before going any further.

THREE OF WANDS - The Three of Wands suggests that an enterprise that you have recently begun is successful. Business may be brisk, and you have many good ideas. You may recently have begun a new job, or will receive an offer for a new position soon. Cooperation is key now, and negotiations should be successful. In its reversed position, the Three of Wands may indicate a lack of cooperation, wasted efforts, and delays. You may feel a creative block, and find that your goals are hard to reach. Your problem may involve overconfidence, pride, or arrogance on your part. You need to be open to receiving help and input from others. You may have set your expectations too high. Possibly you may need to reset your goals so that they are more realistic.

FOUR OF WANDS - The Four of Wands signifies a feeling of contentment and harmony. You are feeling happy, content, and secure, and may be putting down roots (such as buying a house or entering into a marriage.) This is a period of joy, prosperity, and success for you. You may also be resting and relaxing after a laborious task. The Four of Wands reversed indicates a delay, or a period of difficulty which needs to be overcome before you can experience the success that you have anticipated. There may be problems with some property you own. Even in the reversed position, the Four of Wands is generally a positive card, but there may be a greater price to pay for your success than you had planned on. The Four of Wands reversed may also indicate a non-marital committment, such as living together.

FIVE OF WANDS - The Five of Wands indicates rivalry, conflict, challenge, and struggle. You may be needing to assert or prove yourself. You need to have faith in your own ability. There may be arguments or unexpected problems, but through formidable effort, you will achieve success. You may have to fight for what you want. The Five of Wands in the reversed position may indicate that the struggle is over and that you have a feeling of relief after much conflict. It is now time to proceed with your goals. Alternately, it may signify that the daily grind has been wearing you down and that you need to take a break. Possibly you have been scattering your energies in too many directions, and you may need to set your priorities to deal more effectively with your stress. Don't worry, relief is in sight!!!

SIX OF WANDS - The Six of Wands represents triumph, success, conquest, achievement, reward, and fulfillment. It is a card of victory, and indicates that you will receive recognition for your hard work or that you will achieve a goal that you have wished for. In its reversed position, the Six of Wands indicates failure, loss, defeat, and misunderstanding. You will not be a winner this time around. It can also indicate infidelity, or a spouse putting his or her interests ahead of yours.

SEVEN OF WANDS - The Seven of Wands indicates that you are holding your own. You are courageous, and feel strong and undaunted. This card may also represent fights, struggles, and conflicts. A situation of conflict may be coming to a head. You must summon all the inner strength and determination that you can muster. Whether or not you know it, you do have the advantage, and will come out on top. In its reversed position, the Seven of Wands indicates that you may be feeling vulnerable or overwhelmed. You may be acting in a passive or unassertive way in some matter. You need to be strong and not give up in the face of opposition. Continue to pursue your goals depite fear and opposition. In an otherwise negative spread, however, you are being told to cut your losses and withdraw from the battle -- you are involved in a losing cause.

EIGHT OF WANDS - The Eight of Wands represents swift action, activity, movement, excitement, frenzy, communication, travel, new friends, or a journey. Fresh messages and opportunities are coming in, and there is excitement in the air. You are moving quickly towards the fulfillment of your goals and dreams. A sudden and passionate love affair is also possible. In its reversed position, the Eight of Wands may indicate impulsiveness, insecurity, pressure, or miscommunication. Your plans may not work out. You may be feeling overwhelmed. Don't make decisions too hastily -- stop rushing.

NINE OF WANDS - The Nine of Wands indicates a need to stand up for yourself and to guard against attacks. You need to develop a defensive attitude, and it would be wise to be a little wary. You may have one more problem to overcome before you achieve the victory that you desire. You are on your way to success, so don't give up! In the reversed position, the Nine of Wands shows that your defenses may be down, and you may be caught off guard. You may experience a loss, possibly due to unrealistic plans or a refusal to compromise. You need to guard your health at this time.

TEN OF WANDS - The Ten of Wands indicates overload...you are carrying a heavy load, and may be feeling weighted down by stress. You may be shouldering a great deal of responsiblity, or may be overexerting yourself. You may have bitten off more than you can chew, or you may be overtaxing yourself due to the lure of power. You will not have enough energy to complete the task and you need to slow down and develop a more realistic approach. You may be experiencing health problems. In its reversed position, the Ten of Wands indicates that the burden is now lifted. You will experience relief from your stress. You have learned to delegate wisely, and will soon see a return of health.

PAGE OF WANDS - The page of wants represents good news, exciting messages, optimism, vigor, resourcefulness, competition, and excitement. New opportunities are on the way and new ideas on the horizon. New friendships, creativity, and encouragement are on the way!!! In its reversed position, the Page of Wands indicates bad news, a broken heart, acting out, discouragement, obstacles, indicision, and scattered thinking. You may be feeling frazzled at the moment, and people seem to not be taking you seriously. Be wise with whom you share confidences. Reserve your energies.

KNIGHT OF WANDS - The Knight of Wands is symbolic of changes and of creative energy. New ideas and experiences will come your way. You may be moving, or changing jobs. There is a sense of adventure, and you may be experiencing enthusiasm, quick decisions, or swift action. Change is definitely in the air!!! In its reversed position, the Knight of Wands represents indecision, impatience, stress, rapid change, disruption, indecisiveness, and foolish haste. Your lack of follow- through may be causing problems. You may feel unstable or stressed out regarding the changes in your life.

QUEEN OF WANDS - The Queen of Wands suggests balanced family and career interests. This card symbolizes social position, good business sense, tirelessness, and passion. It also represents courage, enterprise, confidence, success, independence, and the power of positive thinking. In its reversed aspect, the Queen of Wands represents the shadow side of the feminine: jealousy, demandingness, manipulation, envy, deception, seduction, lies, domination, disorganization, infidelity, untrustworthiness, bitterness, self-centeredness, paranoia, irritability, and emotional blackmail. Don't try to impose your values on everyone around you.

KING OF WANDS - The King of Wands represents maturity, decisiveness, ambition, passion, loyalty, enterprise, charisma, and professionalism. You may receive sound advice from a mature man. In its reversed position, the King of Wands indicates bossiness, arrogance, lies, betrayal, bigotry, disagreement, controversy, aggression, insensitivity, and ruthlessness. You should consider whether you are being insensitive to the feelings of others.
