ACE OF WANDS - The Ace of Wands signifies the beginning of a new venture or
a new life. It is representative of new experiences, fresh ideas, new
beginnings, optimism, inventiveness, enthusiasm and drive. You may be
experiencing a period of increased creativity or a feeling of being driven.
You may be starting a new business or career. This could be the start of
something big!!! In its reversed position, the Ace of Wands would signify
delays and difficulties, or trouble getting a new enterprise off the ground.
You may be feeling powerless or impotent. Possibly you are pessimistic and
are not even trying. Your own behavior may be the source of the problem. You
need to follow through with your promises and spend some time brainstorming
for new ideas. You need to be open to solutions to your problems.
TWO OF WANDS -- The Two of Wands usually signifies that you are off to a
good start. There may not be that much actively happening right now, and you
may have some waiting in store. Maybe you are confused about where to go.
You need to infuse yourself with energy and assertiveness to get your
enterprise off of the ground. Things are promising, but there is much hard
work to be done. You will achieve success so long as you do not give up. In
the reversed position, the Two of Wands indicates that you are losing
interest or having misgivings about an enterprise. Things may not be going
your way, or you may be feeling overwhelmed or disillusioned. You may be
having disagreements with partners or with negotiations. The Two of Wands
can be a warning to consider matters carefully before going any further.
THREE OF WANDS - The Three of Wands suggests that an enterprise that you
have recently begun is successful. Business may be brisk, and you have many
good ideas. You may recently have begun a new job, or will receive an offer
for a new position soon. Cooperation is key now, and negotiations should be
successful. In its reversed position, the Three of Wands may indicate a lack
of cooperation, wasted efforts, and delays. You may feel a creative block,
and find that your goals are hard to reach. Your problem may involve
overconfidence, pride, or arrogance on your part. You need to be open to
receiving help and input from others. You may have set your expectations too
high. Possibly you may need to reset your goals so that they are more
realistic.
FOUR OF WANDS - The Four of Wands signifies a feeling of contentment and
harmony. You are feeling happy, content, and secure, and may be putting down
roots (such as buying a house or entering into a marriage.) This is a period
of joy, prosperity, and success for you. You may also be resting and
relaxing after a laborious task. The Four of Wands reversed indicates a
delay, or a period of difficulty which needs to be overcome before you can
experience the success that you have anticipated. There may be problems with
some property you own. Even in the reversed position, the Four of Wands is
generally a positive card, but there may be a greater price to pay for your
success than you had planned on. The Four of Wands reversed may also
indicate a non-marital committment, such as living together.
FIVE OF WANDS - The Five of Wands indicates rivalry, conflict, challenge,
and struggle. You may be needing to assert or prove yourself. You need to
have faith in your own ability. There may be arguments or unexpected
problems, but through formidable effort, you will achieve success. You may
have to fight for what you want. The Five of Wands in the reversed position
may indicate that the struggle is over and that you have a feeling of relief
after much conflict. It is now time to proceed with your goals. Alternately,
it may signify that the daily grind has been wearing you down and that you
need to take a break. Possibly you have been scattering your energies in too
many directions, and you may need to set your priorities to deal more
effectively with your stress. Don't worry, relief is in sight!!!
SIX OF WANDS - The Six of Wands represents triumph, success, conquest,
achievement, reward, and fulfillment. It is a card of victory, and indicates
that you will receive recognition for your hard work or that you will
achieve a goal that you have wished for. In its reversed position, the Six
of Wands indicates failure, loss, defeat, and misunderstanding. You will not
be a winner this time around. It can also indicate infidelity, or a spouse
putting his or her interests ahead of yours.
SEVEN OF WANDS - The Seven of Wands indicates that you are holding your own.
You are courageous, and feel strong and undaunted. This card may also
represent fights, struggles, and conflicts. A situation of conflict may be
coming to a head. You must summon all the inner strength and determination
that you can muster. Whether or not you know it, you do have the advantage,
and will come out on top. In its reversed position, the Seven of Wands
indicates that you may be feeling vulnerable or overwhelmed. You may be
acting in a passive or unassertive way in some matter. You need to be strong
and not give up in the face of opposition. Continue to pursue your goals
depite fear and opposition. In an otherwise negative spread, however, you
are being told to cut your losses and withdraw from the battle -- you are
involved in a losing cause.
EIGHT OF WANDS - The Eight of Wands represents swift action, activity,
movement, excitement, frenzy, communication, travel, new friends, or a
journey. Fresh messages and opportunities are coming in, and there is
excitement in the air. You are moving quickly towards the fulfillment of
your goals and dreams. A sudden and passionate love affair is also possible.
In its reversed position, the Eight of Wands may indicate impulsiveness,
insecurity, pressure, or miscommunication. Your plans may not work out. You
may be feeling overwhelmed. Don't make decisions too hastily -- stop
rushing.
NINE OF WANDS - The Nine of Wands indicates a need to stand up for yourself
and to guard against attacks. You need to develop a defensive attitude, and
it would be wise to be a little wary. You may have one more problem to
overcome before you achieve the victory that you desire. You are on your way
to success, so don't give up! In the reversed position, the Nine of Wands
shows that your defenses may be down, and you may be caught off guard. You
may experience a loss, possibly due to unrealistic plans or a refusal to
compromise. You need to guard your health at this time.
TEN OF WANDS - The Ten of Wands indicates overload...you are carrying a
heavy load, and may be feeling weighted down by stress. You may be
shouldering a great deal of responsiblity, or may be overexerting yourself.
You may have bitten off more than you can chew, or you may be overtaxing
yourself due to the lure of power. You will not have enough energy to
complete the task and you need to slow down and develop a more realistic
approach. You may be experiencing health problems. In its reversed position,
the Ten of Wands indicates that the burden is now lifted. You will
experience relief from your stress. You have learned to delegate wisely, and
will soon see a return of health.
PAGE OF WANDS - The page of wants represents good news, exciting messages,
optimism, vigor, resourcefulness, competition, and excitement. New
opportunities are on the way and new ideas on the horizon. New friendships,
creativity, and encouragement are on the way!!! In its reversed position,
the Page of Wands indicates bad news, a broken heart, acting out,
discouragement, obstacles, indicision, and scattered thinking. You may be
feeling frazzled at the moment, and people seem to not be taking you
seriously. Be wise with whom you share confidences. Reserve your energies.
KNIGHT OF WANDS - The Knight of Wands is symbolic of changes and of creative
energy. New ideas and experiences will come your way. You may be moving, or
changing jobs. There is a sense of adventure, and you may be experiencing
enthusiasm, quick decisions, or swift action. Change is definitely in the
air!!! In its reversed position, the Knight of Wands represents indecision,
impatience, stress, rapid change, disruption, indecisiveness, and foolish
haste. Your lack of follow- through may be causing problems. You may feel
unstable or stressed out regarding the changes in your life.
QUEEN OF WANDS - The Queen of Wands suggests balanced family and career
interests. This card symbolizes social position, good business sense,
tirelessness, and passion. It also represents courage, enterprise,
confidence, success, independence, and the power of positive thinking. In
its reversed aspect, the Queen of Wands represents the shadow side of the
feminine: jealousy, demandingness, manipulation, envy, deception, seduction,
lies, domination, disorganization, infidelity, untrustworthiness,
bitterness, self-centeredness, paranoia, irritability, and emotional
blackmail. Don't try to impose your values on everyone around you.
KING OF WANDS - The King of Wands represents maturity, decisiveness,
ambition, passion, loyalty, enterprise, charisma, and professionalism. You
may receive sound advice from a mature man. In its reversed position, the
King of Wands indicates bossiness, arrogance, lies, betrayal, bigotry,
disagreement, controversy, aggression, insensitivity, and ruthlessness. You
should consider whether you are being insensitive to the feelings of others.
