You know, before you give a friend the boot, you better make darn sure that that is what you want to do.
I did that once. Now I regret it. I miss that person. And when I attempted to reach out and reconcile, I got no response at all. Ouch. That was pretty mortifying. But, in retrospect, it was a lesson as well. I realize (once again – wasn’t this the reason all this happened in the first place?) that that person’s friendship was more important to me than mine was to them. So be it.
But still… next time I will make sure I mean it.

Very true, as they say ‘what will be will be’. I’ve had many friends come and go, it just makes the ones that stick with you all the more special!
Cool blog, can I ask how you incorporated the gallery into the wed site? My gallery always has its own full page.
Ian 🙂

This seems to be a common theme… you give 100% of yourself to your friends and “believe” they are doing that as well until the moment comes and their true face shines through. I’ve recently kicked a friend out of my life because I realized that the only reason he wanted me around was to make HIMSELF feel better. He considered my discussions of my life to be “nagging” “complaining” etc. What a total loser.

You completely cut someone off for a reason. You may not have consciously known while you were doing it, but there was a very good reason. And if with sincerety you approached your ex friend and you were scorned, that is only proof that you were correct in cutting her off.
I read a quote somewhere that went something like, “A friendship that can be ended was never real to begin with.” i think that’s very true.
By the way, I’m Bliss from sinful Bliss and my sex site has been down for months. You can “stalk” me on http://www.punchnpie.com :).
